We first met our friends at Twin Marquis a few years ago when we painted their Bushwick factory location (we remember it being one of the hottest days that summer!)  They reached out to us again to create a new piece at their Lower East Side location on the corner of Canal St. and Ludlow St.  This time, the theme was to create an interactive, colorful piece that would work great as a photo backdrop for passerby’s.  This is a very busy intersection with high foot traffic near a lot of galleries.  The client understood the importance of working with the community and giving back with public art.  We had fun painting a big bowl of noodles with their “I Love Noodles” instagram moment.

Twin Marquis was first founded in 1989 at the 39 Canal St. location in the Lower East Side/Chinatown with the mission of making fresher noodles & wrappers.  This location is still used as the distribution hub of Twin Marquis products for NYC’s Asian food lovers and delivering the freshest products made with pride.

On the adjacent wall, they worked with our parent company Klughaus on an artist feature project with Glossblack.  They were very supportive of the arts and allowed us to curate that wall as a rotating gallery of artists with graffiti roots.

We had the chance to design and paint a blacklight-lit graffiti collage mural a few months ago.  The Painted Duck is a spin off bowling bar/venue of the successful predecessor, The Painted Pin in Atlanta, GA. This new venue is located in the Stockyards on the Westside. The main difference of the new location is that they feature duckpin bowling with smaller pins and balls!  We were honored to be involved in some of the design aspects of the entrance to the new location. The client’s goal was to create a raw space and environment starting in a small and dark stairway leading down into an entrance that opened up into a contrasting large, roomy and upscale open space.  We suggested street graffiti that would be colored in a way to glow with black lights to keep the darker feel of the space.  Incorporating some of the brand’s slogans and hidden inside jokes, we put together a fun mural that is a conversation piece for guests as they walk into the space.

Blacklight Graffiti Tips: One of the tricks with creating murals that pop in blacklight is working on a dark background (ideally black.)  For any fluorescent and neon colors that we use, we usually place an undercoat of white so that it’s more opaque and glows much brighter. White is also a color that  glows well in blacklight without having to be fluorescent. While we didn’t use it for this project, they actually have glow in the dark spray paint as well if you wanted to get really creative with it!

The Painted Duck is a distinguished drinkery, duckpin bowling, and gaming parlour located in the Stockyards Atlanta development on the Westside. (https://www.thepaintedduckatl.com/)  Located at: 976 Brady Ave NW, Atlanta, GA 30318 Do yourself and drop by to have a drink, bowl and check out the artwork as you enter the space.

The mural was also featured in some recent articles below:

Our friend Neil at Broad Street Braces challenged the Graffiti USA team to create a geometric themed street art mural. The design that we developed was a combination of carefully balanced shapes and color that incorporated the logo in an abstract and subtle way. Neil was thrilled with the results and excited to know that the artwork will breathe new life to the office and create a colorful, modern environment for the BSB staff and their smiling patients 🙂

Located minutes away from legendary Yankees Stadium, The Metropolitan Lighthouse School is home to our most recent series of murals. The diverse group of students and faculty worked closely with our team to design multiple murals throughout the school. Filled with messages of encouragement and scholastically fun graphics, we created an engaging story of NYC’s diversity and the schools mission to Empower Hearts and Mind!

We created this studio installation for a repeat client after installing an abstract piece at his residence. The client was extremely pleased with our artist’s work in creating a vibrant and sophisticated piece of artwork for his home, that he trusted our experience and talent in executing a custom piece with a new style and direction for his studio. Inspired by cyclist Greg Lemonds and the city of Paris, we created a more conceptual piece of work while still pulling in abstract design elements we used in his home. Both the client and artist were pleased with how little creative direction and artistic freedom led to two distinct pieces of timeless artwork that have subtle undertones in common with each other.

MAD Fitness reached out to the Graffiti USA team to help outfit their newest space in Frederick, Maryland with a graffiti piece that was edgy, bold and had kick-butt and take no prisoners written all over it.  We had our artist swoop in with some of his signature rendering techniques and paint a piece that was just what the space called for.  Nope, the piece isn’t really breaking through the wall 😉

It’s always a pleasure working with the Mod Pizza creative team on custom mural installations.  This is the first time working with them in the Houston, TX market.  This particular mural was painted using spray paint and brush at their newly opened Deer Park store located at: 9315 Spencer Hwy Suite G, Deer Park, TX 77536.  Check out some of the completed work below:

Artists & Craftsman Supply reached out to our artist, Ryan Adams to create a unique mural on the exterior of their building. They gave the artist creative freedom to create a colorful piece in his style of geometric shapes with hidden message (if you look really close!) The wall was about 70 ft long and 10 ft tall. It took the artist about 2 weeks to complete the piece in sections using spray paint as the main medium. If you’re in Portland, Maine and have to grab some art supplies, definitely go check out the artwork at: 540 Deering Ave, Portland, ME 04103. Photos of the completed installation below:

It’s always a great feeling to help out a non-profit with our graffiti mural services every now and then.  As part of a surprise makeover for the Joliet, IL Boys & Girls Club, we had a local artist come create an inspirational mural in their play room with the phrase “Reach For The Sky.”  We gave the artist creative freedom to come up with something and he did an amazing job.  Check out some photos of the completed mural with the new furniture below:
