Bold is beautiful!
“Come As You Are” traditional graffiti mural painted in time for the recent opening of MOD Pizza in Marana, AZ. The Graffiti USA team designed the custom lettering that was painted on a faux brick facade giving the installation an ultra cool urban vibe. Using their branded color palette, the MOD message makes a powerful impact for all of those getting their pizza on!

MOD Pizza invades Rock City! Graffiti USA was asked to remix the traditional MOD badge with some graffiti swag in adding some urban flair to their newest store in Shelby Township.  We were excited with the final mural but we’ll let you be the judge!

We worked with team at the newly opened Rollin Deep Ice Cream shop in Costa, Mesa to create custom graffiti mural in their store.  With roots in New York City, they wanted to incorporate some of the gritty New York street art aesthetic and tell the story of their transition from the East to West Coast.  It was the perfect job for us since we have some deep ties to the NYC graffiti culture and now based in Los Angeles!  For the creative concept, the client wanted elements of NYC (Subways, Brooklyn Bridge, Skyline, etc.) mixing into landmarks and imagery of Los Angeles (Pier, Hollywood Sign, Palm Trees, Freeways, etc.)

If you are in Orange County, drop by and try out their hand rolled ice cream and check out the artwork in person.  Rollin Deep Ice Cream is located at: 891 Baker St., Suite B-19, Costa Mesa, CA 92626

For MOD Pizza’s San Antonio restaurant, the chain wanted to incorporate local influence into the spaces artwork and atmosphere. They turned to our artist to do their own rendition of the city’s well known giant cowboy boots found at North Star Mall. Not only did our artist get to add their own unique perspective to this store, but we worked with the MOD team to adjust and tackle this very complex and intricate artwork of various ridged washers and wheels to create a pair of steampunk themed glasses.

Our friends at MOD Pizza knew just who to call when they needed to add some urban flair to their new East Columbia location.  While we made sure we spread MODness throughout this piece, we felt it was only right to shout out the beloved Mizzou Tigers the only way we know how.  Check out this neat painting and make sure you have yourself some superfast and delicious pizza in East Columbia!

We collaborated again with the Mod Pizza design team to paint a graffiti style piece for one of their new stores recently opened at Harden Ranch Plaza in Salinas, CA. For this piece, the client was open to us doing what we do best with traditional graffiti lettering. We installed this piece using spray paint with the general color scheme direction coming from the client’s creative team. The artwork was painted on raw brick texture which made a cool/authentic backdrop. We are always a fan of painting something that ties in with our graffiti roots! The Mod Pizza creative team designed this mural that we painted at a new restaurant that opened up a few months ago at Factoria in Bellevue. Our local Seattle artist was able to paint this mural in about 2 days. Due to the specific design, we decided to go with a traditional brush method for the installation. After the mural was completed, the client installed a lit up sign in the center of the piece that worked with the overall artwork. Always a pleasure working with the Mod Pizza team! Check out the photos of the completed piece below:

We were back in the Houston, Texas area once again to work with Mod Pizza on another one of their restaurants opening at Kingwood East! For this store, we painted two large murals side by side with the text “Come As You Are” and “The Livable Forest.” These pieces were created with a mix of spray paint and brush for the detail. Check out some photos of the final installation below. If you are in the area, stop by and grab some Pizza!

*Update: Unfortunately, due to water damage cause by Hurricane Harvey, this store location is under construction.

Last year, we painted an interior street art mural at a new ramen restaurant opening up in the Lower East Side. Always a fan of new ramen spots in the neighborhood and glad to see that they are officially open now. You can go check out the artwork at Yoko Ya Ramen located at 201 Allen St.

For this piece, we used mixed media consisting of spray paint, oil bars and latex to create a skyline. Check out some images of the completed work below.
