NY College Mural. As a CUNY (City University of New York) alum, it was an honor to work with CUNY School of Professional Studies on a mural outside their building in midtown. We painted on an old and also rusty roll down gate that definitely needed a facelift. The client helped design the mural and we replicated the design for them using spray paint. If you drive down the block now, you definitely won’t miss the school due to the eye catching gate! Check out some photos of the NY college mural below:
The light backdrop and pop of colors contrasts the formal color of the doorframe. Using spray paint, our medium of choice, we are able to quickly and easily paint the colors on the gate returns above.
Iconic New York graphics mix with the SPS and CUNY initials. The many roll down gates in New York City are classic graffiti canvases.
Check out the cloud details on the roller housing and also the letters. The transparency where the “S” overlaps the Statue of Liberty works nicely. We look forward to working with the CUNY School of Professional Studies again in the future !
